MuteMe / Meeting tools

A better meeting starts here.

Test your microphone. Check your camera. Find your mute shortcut. Free tools for the moments before you join.

Small checks.
More confidence.

Go straight to the thing you need, or work through a complete pre-meeting check.

Configure MuteMe for your meeting app.

Finish your browser checks, then follow your app’s setup guide. Each guide explains supported clients, microphone selection, permissions, and the available mute-sync behavior.

Integration features vary by app, operating system, and client. Check the relevant guide before assuming the meeting app’s mute button will stay in sync.

A quick pre-call routine.

Browser tests help you find hardware and permission problems. Finish by checking the same devices in your meeting app.

Start with sound

Say a full sentence.

Use your normal speaking voice and distance. A recording helps reveal distortion, keyboard noise, or the wrong microphone.

Check the picture

Look at the whole frame.

Place the camera near eye level, clear the background, and try light in front of you. A bright window behind you can make your face harder to see.

Make the handoff

Stop, then join.

Stop browser device access, select the same microphone and camera in your meeting app, and confirm its mute indicator before you speak.

Before you start.

Do I need a MuteMe button to use these tools?

No. The tools are free to use with a built-in microphone, USB microphone, headset, or webcam that your browser can access.

Where do recordings go?

Recordings stay in the current page session until you download or delete them. They are not uploaded by the tool. Download anything you want to keep before refreshing or leaving. This website may still load its normal analytics and storefront services; local media processing does not mean the whole site is offline.

Will this test my meeting app’s connection?

It tests the devices and media access available to this browser. It does not join a meeting, check another app’s mute state, or measure the quality of your meeting provider’s connection. Complete the app’s own pre-join test too. For MuteMe integration setup, see the configuration guide for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet.

Why does my browser ask for permission?

Websites need your permission to access a microphone or camera. Open the tool over HTTPS in a full browser tab and allow only the device you want to test. You can stop access in the tool or use your browser’s site-permission controls.
