Accueil Google Meet Configuration

This page exists to help Google Meet users configure the application correctly.

MuteMe has native functionality (equivalent to level 2) on Google Meet while using Chrome. Google Chrome while using Google Meet detects the OS mute status so as long as the microphone is being muted our application and button will be able to control Google Meet. MuteMe controls the mute/unmute status regardless of the window being in the foreground or the background. If you are experiencing issues please use the chat feature at the bottom of the page to let our team know.

Unique Icon When Muted : Google Meet does not show the normal mute icon when you are muted using MuteMe. The icon when muted will appear with an exclamation point letting you know that the microphone is muted from a different source rather than the on screen button. For the users on the other end of the call however they will see a regular mute icon just as if you had pressed the button.

Feedback/Echo/Other Noise: Google meet may have a noise cancelation setting that may be causing feedback or other issues when used in conjunction with your MuteMe.  We recommend disabling this feature if it is causing distortion or feedback issues. To disable: start a Google Meet call; click on the three little dots next to the end call button; click on settings; then go to the "Audio" tab;  below your microphone, you should see "Noise Cancellation", make sure that checkbox is to the left (disabled). You may or may not see this setting it is dependent on your headset and microphone connected.

Google Meet Default Microphone: Ensure the correct default microphone is selected and that MuteMs is configured to control it.

Google Meet Settings for Windows:

There are no application specific settings that are required for Meet.

As long as the microphone that you have selected to control is the same as the microphone that you have selected in Google Meet the MuteMe should be able to control the microphone.
