MuteMe · Beta testing

Help shape the next MuteMe release.

Try upcoming changes, put them to work in your setup, and tell us what you find. Your feedback helps us improve MuteMe before changes reach the regular release.

How beta testing works today. We do not have a formal beta testing program right now. For now, this page is how you can take part: download an available beta build, try it, and share feedback with our team through the MuteMe app’s Support tab.

Try it. Test it. Tell us.

You do not need to be a developer to help. Real-world experiences make useful feedback.

  1. Choose a beta build.

Choose the download for your computer below and check the build’s operating system and architecture. Note the version you install.

  2. Test your everyday setup.

Try mute and unmute, light behavior, your usual meeting apps, and any settings you rely on. Check things in a test call before using a beta in an important meeting.

  3. Share what you find.

Report bugs, confusing behavior, and suggestions. Tell us what works well, too—especially if a beta fixes an issue you had before.

Your feedback is part of the test.

A few details help us understand your setup and reproduce a problem.

Open the Support tab in the MuteMe app and let us know you are testing a beta. Include:

  • Your setup: MuteMe app version, operating system and version, device model, and the meeting app involved, if any.
  • What happened: what you expected, what actually happened, and the steps that led to it.
  • How often it happens: every time or occasionally, and whether it also happened in a regular release, if you know.
  • Helpful context: screenshots, a short recording, or logs when relevant. See our guide to finding MuteMe logs.

For a suggestion, describe what you are trying to do and how the change would help. If the app will not open, use our contact page or email support@muteme.com with “MuteMe beta feedback” in the subject.

Before you install.

Beta software is for testing. It may have bugs, behave unexpectedly, and update more frequently than regular releases. If you need the regular release for everyday use, choose regular downloads.

Installing a beta places you on the beta update channel. Future updates will continue to come from that channel. To return to a regular release, use the regular Downloads page and check your installed version and update preferences. Contact support if you need help switching back.
