Home Pulling MuteMe Logs

This support articles intended for Windows and macOS users that wish to pull logs for their MuteMe, this can be extremely helpful when diagnosing issues that you may be experiencing with your device or software. 

This process has been completely simplified with the release of software version 0.11.0  With the newer version of the software please go to the support tab and input your email, explain the issue and ensure the box to send the logs is checked. 

Issue:

Some users experience issues with the MuteMe software or device which may result in application crashes or inconsistent performance. The steps below allow you to pull log information and report to our customer service teams who can review the logs and ensure they have a better understanding of the issue. 

How to pull operational log information on Windows:

  1. Navigate to:C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME HERE}\AppData\Roaming\MuteMe-Client
  2. Find the "Muteme-Client_operations" log file
  3. Email that file to our support teams or attach it using the customer service chatbot

 

How to pull installation log information on Windows:

  1. Navigate to:C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME HERE}\AppData\Local\MuteMe-Client
  2. Find the "SquirrelSetup" log file
  3. Email that file to our support teams or attach it using the customer service chatbot

 

How to pull operational log information on macOS:

  1. Navigate to: Macintosh HD\Users\{YOUR USERNAME HERE}\Library\Application Support\MuteMe-Client
    The Library folder may be hidden, press Command + J on your keyboard when in your username folder and check the box to show the library folder.
  2. Find the "Muteme-Client_operations" log file
  3. Email that file to our support teams or attach it using the customer service chatbot

Solution:

Once you have emailed us the logs we may review those logs and get back to you with a potential solution. In most cases problems can be mitigated fairly simply but we have seen a few unique circumstances that providing the log information is valuable.
