Home Firmware Update MacOS

This support article is for Mac users that would like to update their device firmware on legacy devices with batch numbers 001-003. If you are on windows and would like to update your firmware please click here.

Some early users had indicated that they did not prefer to have a transition flash on by default (slight flash when pressing the button and releasing the button). This firmware will disable that by default. It can be enabled by the user at a later time, pending changes made to the software. This firmware will also resolve the rotating RGB LEDs that were on by default, now they will turn off after 10 seconds if the device is not connected with the software.

(ONLY APPLIES TO BATCH 001-003 devices - check the bottom of the device)

Step 1 - Open Terminal
You can do this by pressing the Command + Spacebar Keys and then typing in “terminal.app” (without the quotation marks) and finding it under applications

Step 2 - Download the updating script, make it executable and run it.
Please copy and paste this script in your terminal

curl -o MuteMeFlash.sh 'https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0522/8127/8617/files/MuteMeFlash.sh?v=1656664693'

chmod +x MuteMeFlash.sh

bash MuteMeFlash.sh

Then press the ENTER key

Step 3 - Follow the on-screen instructions
If your device is working well with the first firmware do not proceed to download the older firmware.
