Start with the connection checks for the quickest fix.
These simple checks resolve most Mini connection issues.
Make sure the Mini is fully seated in the USB port. Even slight looseness can interrupt power and prevent the LED from turning on.
Try multiple ports, especially on laptops where each port may have a different controller or power level. Test both sides of the device if available.
Some hubs extend cable length beyond USB specifications, which can cause power drops or communication failures. Connect directly to the computer during troubleshooting.
If the Mini never lights up on any port, continue with the steps below or contact support.
If the Mini still isn’t responding, try the following.
A restart flushes USB power states and solves many detection issues.
Too many connected devices can cause power or bandwidth saturation. Disconnect any non-essential devices temporarily.
System updates can resolve USB controller bugs and improve compatibility.
If the Mini worked previously and stopped after a recent software or hardware change, try reverting the change temporarily to identify the cause.
If you’ve tried the steps above and the MuteMe Mini still isn’t responding, our support team can help diagnose the issue.
