Home Linux Support

This guide provides an introduction to the MuteMe software for Linux users, with specific support tailored for Ubuntu 24.04 and Fedora 40. While our guidelines generally apply to various Linux distributions, they are optimized for the mentioned versions.

Linux Version Overview

The Linux version of MuteMe includes core functionalities that allow you to manage your microphone at the OS level. However, some advanced features available on Windows and macOS are not currently supported on Linux due to platform or resource limitations.

Current Limitations

  • Simultaneous use of MuteMe Mini and regular MuteMe device is not supported on Linux.
  • Application-level microphone management is not available; control is limited to the OS level.
  • Our small company size and the diverse Linux ecosystem pose challenges in rapid feature development and broad compatibility testing.

Despite these limitations, we are dedicated to enhancing Linux support and will continue to release updates, though they may not occur simultaneously with Windows or macOS versions.
