A few steps bring your MuteSync into the MuteMe app. Keep your preferences handy, then follow the setup guide for your computer.

  1. Save your preferences.

Note your current settings before switching. MuteSync settings do not transfer automatically to the MuteMe app.

  2. Close the old chapter.

Quit and uninstall the old MuteSync app, then restart your computer. The old app can keep the device connection in use.

  3. Install MuteMe.

Get the regular MuteMe app for your computer. Windows users may also need the Silicon Labs USB driver in the setup guide.

  4. Make it yours.

Connect your button, choose your microphone, and set your preferences. Check the setup for the meeting apps you use.

Follow the Windows or macOS setup guide

Updating the app is different from updating device firmware. MuteSync device firmware cannot be updated through the MuteMe firmware process. Read the MuteSync firmware guidance before attempting an update.

Will my existing MuteSync hardware work with MuteMe software?

Yes. Existing MuteSync hardware is supported by the MuteMe app. Follow the device setup guide, and check the compatibility guide for the meeting apps and operating system you use.

Can I keep using the old MuteSync app?

It may continue to run, but its support ended on November 16, 2024. Move to the MuteMe app for support and software updates. Quit and uninstall the old app before connecting through MuteMe to avoid connection conflicts.

What do I gain by switching?

The MuteMe app brings MuteSync into the same software and support system as MuteMe, with meeting-app integrations, configuration options and ongoing software updates. Available sync features depend on your meeting app and operating system; review the compatibility guide for the details.

Do I need to pay to switch?

No. The transition to MuteMe software is free for MuteSync customers. Download and install the MuteMe app for your computer.

How do I send feedback or request a feature?

Use the MuteMe app's Support tab, or the contact page. Tell us which features you would like to see and what would improve your setup. We review feedback; response times may be longer when we receive a high volume of questions.

Will my MuteSync settings transfer?

No. The apps manage settings differently, and MuteMe includes additional options. Note your preferred settings before switching and configure them again in MuteMe.

What if my button does not connect after switching?

Work through the MuteSync connection guide, including removing the old app and checking the Windows driver. If you still need help, contact us through the Support tab or our contact page.

How can I hear about updates?

Sign up for email updates and keep your email address current. You can also follow MuteMe on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The original transition plan also included notices in the MuteSync app directing customers to MuteMe.
