Use the current integration
Microsoft ended availability of Teams Classic on July 1, 2025. MuteMe 0.27.2 and later use a newer native integration for the current Teams desktop app.
Our current Teams guide covers app sync settings, macOS permission prompts, an in-meeting check and troubleshooting. You can get the current MuteMe app from the Downloads page.
Have an older setup bookmarked?
This URL stays available so older bookmarks and help links still lead somewhere useful. The former Teams Classic settings, old macOS purple-banner workaround and version-pinning instructions are historical guidance and should not be used to configure current Teams.
If your organization manages app updates, contact your IT team before changing its installation. For a permissions issue, see the macOS permissions guide.
