MuteMe · Setup & support
Send the details that help us troubleshoot.
Use the app’s Support form when it opens. If it does not, the local log files can help explain what happened.
- Preferred route
- MuteMe app → Support
- Manual alternative
- Copy the existing logs
Send a report from MuteMe
Choose Report an Issue
Open Support, choose Report an Issue and enter your email and a description. Include the app/OS versions, microphone or device model and the steps that reproduce the problem.
Choose whether to include logs
Review Include a log file of recent app operations. It is selected by default for issue reports. Leave it enabled if you want support to receive the app’s recent operational logs, or clear it before sending.
Find the files manually
The current operational log is Muteme-Client_operations.log; the prior app session may be in Muteme-Client_operations_last.log. Copy existing files; do not rename or delete the app’s originals.
-
Windows: paste
%APPDATA%\MuteMe-Clientinto File Explorer’s address bar. -
macOS: in Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder and enter
~/Library/Application Support/MuteMe-Client. -
Linux: look in
~/.MuteMe-Client.
For a Windows installation failure, a separate SquirrelSetup.log may exist near the installer or app’s local installation folder. Its location can differ; tell support which installer you used rather than assuming it is an operational log.
