Linux Support

This support page is to assist Linux users with use of their MuteMe devices. Our support for Linux is limited as we do not have the development resources to build integrations for the various Linux builds and distributions. 

MuteMe has the ability on Ubuntu 20.04 mute and unmute the microphone at the operating system level. Although we make a red hat compatible rpm file available we have not tested or used MuteMe on Red Hat based distributions of Linux.

We make two versions of the software available for Linux users one which is intended to use with the MuteMe Mini and other that is intended to use with the regular MuteMe. 

MuteMe Regular :
Version 0.0.5 has been available for over a year for the regular MuteMe and is the version recommend to download from downloads.muteme.com if you intend to use your Regular sized MuteMe device. 

MuteMe Mini :

Version 0.0.6 is now available for the MuteMe Mini and is the version recommend to download from downloads.muteme.com if you intend to use your Mini sized MuteMe device. 

Mini and Regular devices cannot be used at the same time:

Unlike the experience on windows and macOS the devices cannot be used at the same time on Linux.
