Home Enable Secondary Click macOS

This page exists to help macOS users configure secondary click on macOS.

Secondary click is a useful feature and allows for users to pull up the extended options for the menu bar MuteMe icon. This is not required but can extend functionality for macOS users to quickly show the window or close the application.

  1. Open "System Preferences" or "System Settings" from the Apple menu.
  2. Click on the "Mouse" or "Trackpad" icon.
  3. In the "Point & Click" tab, you will see a "Secondary click" section.
  4. You can enable right-click by clicking on the radio/dropdown button next to "Click in bottom right corner" or "Click right side".

Note: If you don't see the "Secondary click" option, it means that your Mac doesn't support this feature or it's disabled in the settings of your mouse or trackpad. In this case, you will need to use the "Control-click" keyboard shortcut to right-click instead.
