MuteMe
Device Tools
Check device information, test lighting or follow a support-directed firmware procedure from the app’s Tools area.
Choose the tool you need
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Device Info | Shows information about the connected device; connect one device at a time for this action. |
| Test LEDs | Cycles device lighting to help diagnose LED or device-write problems. |
| Restart Device | Requests a device restart without physically unplugging it, where supported. |
| Auto Firmware Update | Starts the app’s firmware-check/update flow for a supported device. |
| Manual Firmware Update* | Opens a confirmation flow for support-directed bootloader entry. |
Open Tools in MuteMe, then find Device Tools. Older guides call this area Settings → Diagnostic Tools. Firmware availability depends on the connected model.
Treat firmware actions differently from a light test
Read Manual firmware recovery before entering a bootloader. Do not choose erase mode unless Support has directed it and you have the correct firmware and a computer allowed to write to the device.
The Firmware Updates switch controls device-firmware update notifications. You can still use Auto Firmware Update to start a check. App software updates and device firmware are separate.
MuteSync device firmware is not supported by this updater. Batches 001–003 use their legacy process.
