MuteMe

Cannot Use Installer on Windows

Choose an approved installation path for your computer. A ZIP build may help with an installer-specific problem, but it does not override your organization’s software rules.

Choose the right installation path

Start with the current Windows download. If your organization deploys software centrally, ask IT about the enterprise MSI installer. For a blocked or failed download, try the alternate download page.

Record the exact error before changing anything. An antivirus or company-policy block should be reviewed by IT; do not disable protection to run the app.

If support recommends a ZIP build

  1. Get the approved build

The original guide links to the Windows ZIP archive folder; treat it as an archive reference. Confirm the appropriate version with support; an archived ZIP is not automatically the current release.

  2. Extract the complete folder

Extract all files to a folder where your account can read and write. Keep the extracted files together; do not run the executable inside the compressed ZIP.

  3. Run and verify

Open MuteMe-Client.exe from the extracted folder. Confirm that the app starts and detects your device. Update behavior can differ from an installed build, so do not rely on the ZIP to update itself automatically.
