MuteMe · Setup & support
Change Zoom’s display language.
If you are troubleshooting a language-dependent sync issue, you can test Zoom in English and then check the connection again.
Windows.
Open Zoom
Start the Zoom desktop app and find its icon in the Windows notification tray. Open the tray’s hidden icons if needed.
Choose a language
Right-click the Zoom icon, open Switch Languages and select English for this troubleshooting check. Zoom restarts; you may need to sign in again.
macOS.
Open Zoom
Launch Zoom and find its icon in the Dock.
Choose a language
Open the icon’s context menu, choose Switch Languages, select English and confirm. Zoom restarts in the selected language.
Check your meeting setup.
Reopen MuteMe and test mute and unmute in a Zoom call. Follow the current Zoom setup guide if the app and device still disagree. A language change is a diagnostic step, not a guarantee of sync on every app version or operating system.
Original troubleshooting note: 10:10AM - PST - June 11, 2022. Current language-menu instructions were checked against Zoom’s documentation.
