MuteMe
Microphone Automatic Re-Mute
If MuteMe immediately switches back after you mute or unmute, check which microphone or app is sending the next state change.
Review microphone state feedback
Find the input in use
Open Microphone Settings and expand the microphone used by your call. Confirm it matches the meeting app’s input.
Check Syncing and Reverting
Sync MuteMe with mute status changes to this microphone makes MuteMe follow changes detected on that input. Revert mute status changes to this microphone changes the input back to its earlier state. These are different behaviors; review whether either conflicts with another app, headset control or microphone utility.
Test a smaller setup
Temporarily disable unnecessary Syncing or Reverting on the affected input, keeping its Control option enabled. Retest in a private call after each change. Avoid changing every microphone at once.
Isolate app-button feedback
If the issue only occurs in one supported meeting app, use App Sync Settings to test Level 2 instead of Level 3. Level 2 sends changes from MuteMe but does not follow changes made with the app’s mute button. This is a temporary diagnostic with a real loss of two-way behavior; restore Level 3 when the cause is resolved.
Verify the audio
Ask someone in a private call to confirm whether audio stops and returns. If your microphone ignores operating-system mute, see microphone-control limitations. Record the settings and sequence that reproduce the issue for support.
