MuteMe · Setup & support
Set up MuteMe for GoTo Meeting.
Use the GoTo desktop app, match your microphone and enable the GoToMeeting integration in MuteMe.
- Windows desktop
- Level 3 — Full Sync
- macOS desktop
- Level 3 — Full Sync
Start with the desktop app
Use GoTo’s desktop meeting app
Install or update the desktop app using GoTo’s download and installation instructions. These MuteMe steps cover the desktop integration, not the separate browser meeting experience.
Match your microphone
In GoTo’s audio settings, choose the microphone you use for the meeting. If you choose the system default, verify that default on your computer. In MuteMe, find the same input under Connected Microphones and enable Control this microphone with MuteMe.
Enable GoToMeeting sync
Open App Sync Settings
In MuteMe, open App Sync Settings. If GoToMeeting is missing from the enabled integrations, choose Modify next to Enabled App Integrations and enable it.
Choose Full Sync
Select GoToMeeting and set Sync Level to Level 3 — Full Sync. This mode is intended to keep MuteMe and the meeting app’s mute button in sync in both directions. Level 2 sends changes from MuteMe but does not track changes made with the app’s own mute button.
Follow any macOS permission prompt
If MuteMe shows macOS Permissions Needed, choose Grant Permissions and follow the Accessibility instructions. Allow MuteMe to restart after new Accessibility access is granted. For a previously declined permission, use the macOS permissions guide.
Test with the meeting window open
Join a private meeting and check mute/unmute first with MuteMe, then with GoTo’s own button. Confirm the audio and indicators in both directions at Level 3.
Keep the GoTo window open while testing. If sync stops when the window is minimized, restore it from the taskbar or Dock and retest. Recheck the microphone and macOS Accessibility prompt if the problem continues.
