Your setup, connected
Find your meeting app. See how it works with your computer. Choose the sync level that fits the way you meet.
Made for the way you meet
Your operating system and meeting app determine how MuteMe stays in sync. Find your app below, then follow its setup guide.

Your setup matters. Level 2 and Level 3 may require configuration in your meeting app. Google Meet entries marked * use the MuteMe browser extension with the desktop app. Level 1 controls a supported system microphone; it does not promise that the meeting app’s mute icon changes.
Linux support varies by app and audio setup. Review the listed levels and the Linux setup guide. Need a hand? Use MuteMe app → Support or contact our team.
(Sync Levels)
In order to better communicate how MuteMe will work with the various video conferencing applications that you use, we came up with Sync Levels.
Only the system's default microphone will stay in sync with MuteMe. At this level, the mute/unmute button in the conferencing app won't change when your MuteMe status changes.
Use this setting when you want to mute but don't want others to know you are muted.
Your microphone and the mute/unmute button in the conferencing app will stay in sync with MuteMe. At this level, MuteMe won’t be able to see when you change your mute status from the conferencing app. This level and above may require configuration/changes with your conferencing platforms such as enabling global keyboard shortcuts, or making sure meeting controls are always visible.
Use this setting when you only want to use MuteMe to control your mute status.
*This level can also denote when the application has the ability to read the mute status from the operating system. For example Google Meet when using chrome as your browser.
Your microphone and the mute/unmute button in the conferencing app are fully in sync with MuteMe. At this level, MuteMe will detect when you change your mute status from the conferencing app. Level two and above may require configuration/changes with your conferencing platforms such as enabling global keyboard shortcuts, or making sure meeting controls are always visible.
Use this setting when you still want to use the mute/unmute button in the conferencing app alongside MuteMe.
*Some platforms like Google Meet may require our free extension.
